CineMarvellous Preview: Stylishly Action-Packed First Trailer for "Underworld: Awakening 3D"

Stylishly Action-Packed
First Teaser Trailer for
Underworld: Awakening [3D]

The first teaser trailer for the upcoming fourth "Underworld" installment, called "Awakening", is finally here, and thankfully, it's filled with plenty of stylish visuals and over-the-top action. In other words, exactly what I was hoping for! Check it out below and see for yourself.

Star of the first two films, the absolutely gorgeous Kate Beckinsale is back on track, and ready to kick more werewolf asses, this time in 3D. She returns in her lead role as the vampire warrioress Selene, who escapes imprisonment to find herself in a world where humans have discovered the existence of both Vampire and Lycan clans, and are conducting an all-out war to eradicate both immortal species.

"Underworld: Awakening 3D" hits theaters on January 20, 2012.

Oh that's freakin awesome...and Kate's back, I thought they gave her the boot. will enjoy seeing her in 3D. Is she still with the hybrid guy?...I think his name's Michael. Thanks for sharing. :)

Laila, it's awesome indeed. I enjoyed every second of it, and I can't wat to see the movie.
Thankfully, Kate's back. I hated the third film, mainly because she was lacking.
I'm not sure if I'd love to see Michael back. He appeared a bit to stiff to me. Thanks for the comment. :)

Thanks to you I can now stay ahead of my husband on previews :).

This one looks so good. I can't wait. I noticed that Scott Speedman was absent from the preview, but she did mention his character's name at the end. And who is the new hottie kicking butt with the gorgeous Kate?

Kate! Saw the trailer yesterday. (In fact, someone sent me the link - guess my Kate obsession isn't a secret.) Looking forward to this one!

Isis, together we'll show your husband that you know no less than him, when speaking of previews and upcoming movie. ;)

I agree, it looks great, and love the bluish tint of the cinematography. It's something of a trademark for the Underworld movies.

You know what, I hope that Scott Speedman doesn not star in the movie, because I was truly annoyed by his stiffness in the first film. The new guy rocks though. ;)

Alex, I'm in love with Kate as well. She's stunning!

I saw the trailer yesterday as well, but didn't have the time to post it.

Mmm, not a big fan of the Underworld movies at all. Really not.

Michele, and I'm a fan, especially of the first movie.

I think I was just turned off by all the CGI. It's all over the place and way too obvious.

I love the Underworld movies, most especially Rise of the Lycans because werewolves waaaaay better than vampires. Selene is the exception. I've always thought she'd make a better werewolf, though.;) I hope that Scott Speedman is not back as I can't stand his character. Michael's half vampire half werewolf and he does nothing in the first two films. WTH! What a weak, disappointment he is. Guess his thing is to be Selene's bang buddy and nothing else.

Great trailer, though. I can't wait to see it. :)

I got your email, hon and will be responding as soon as I can. I have been gone from my computer for most of the last two days.

Lola, thank you so much for the compliments, and also thanks for the follow. :) I'm glad you found it as well :) Hope to see you here more often.

Michele, I actually thought the CGIs were quite good, and added to the style of the visuals. All over the place? Well, I disagree. The pacing was near flawless.

OMG, Mel, I hated "Rise of the Lycans ". It felt like a completely different film, but not in a good way. Kate was missing, the direction was pretty unfocused, and it was so dark, staring at it caused me a headache :)

Well, I kinda agree that Kate would make a better werewolf. Anyway, either way, she looks great :)

Ah, hon, thank you for that! I can't stand Michael's character either. He felt so out of place and his performance was one of the stiffest I've ever seen. He won't appear in "Awakening" as far as I know. YAY for that. :)

Sorry you didn't like it. :( Rise of the Lycans was the origin story and should have come first. One of the things that never made sense in the first film was why the wolves and vamps were fighting. It explained everything from Lucien and Victor's motivations to the whole war plus the the whole Marcus-William thing that made no sense in the second film. But this is what comes when you simply go with an idea and don't do back story until later. As a writer Len Wiseman needs a few lessons. LOL

Mel, my comment got lost somewhere. What the hell is wrong with Blogger?!

Hey George - stopped by to see if I'd missed a post. Hope things are good with you. Hurricane Irene was less intense where I live than expected, which is good.

George Beremov [Nebular] said...

Alex, everything's fine, buddy. I just started school last week, and I'm at the university every weekday 8 AM to 19 PM... it's exhausting, and I have absolutely no free time for other activities. Glad to hear that the hurricane wasn't as destructive as they expected it to be.

Aguilar, sounds like fun to me as well. I can't wait!:)
