[5.50/10] The Lost Bladesman (2011)

The Lost Bladesman (2011)

QuickRating: Aside from a few stunning shots and a couple of thrilling, marvellously choreographed fight scenes, "The Lost Bladesman" is an incoherent, clumsily-paced and visually-unimpressive martial arts flick that can be easily considered a misfire, due to its unimaginative script, messy narrative, lackluster execution and Donnie Yen's surprisingly weak and emotionless performance as Guan Yu.

Looks like something I should avoid. I love the "incoherent, clumsily-paced and visually unimpressive" summation. Way to slice and dice, sweetie. :)

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend. I am getting a very, very belated birthday outing with my sisters and mom. Life happened and I was one sick puppy on my b-day. We're going to an Italian restaurant then on to see Friends with Benefits.

Aww...I love you with all my heart too!! And thank you so much for the b-day wishes, my wonderful friend. My mom, sisters and I are going to have a great time. Yay!

I love Mila, too. She is so talented and funny.

Have a great day at work and a relaxing, fun-filled Sunday. Hugs, sweetheart! :)

Mel, you'd better skip it. I reckon even your nephew won't going to like it. It's just weak. Thanks, hon. Yep, I skewered it big time with this line. LOL.

I work on Saturdays, so my weekend now consists of just one day - Sunday.

Your birthday? OMG, I totally forgot about it. Forgive me, sweetheart. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I wish you all the happiness in the world and lots of love. You're amazing and I love you with all my heart. I hope you and your sis ans mom will have a fabulous time today and that the sickness is all gone now. Friends with Benefits looks hilariously naughty - I can't wait to see it, mainly because of Mila. She's sooo beautiful and talented!

Thanks, hon.

As for the correction - my head is so messed up right now (like I sleep 6 hours a night) that I consider mistaken words something normal. LOL.
I perfectly know what screwed means as I screw stupid people quite often. LOL. Thanks for the lesson anyway, Ms Cool Teacher :)

I couldn't agree more. Donnie Yen has no expression whatsoever. And although some fights are beautifully choreographed they never quite get the wow factor.

FilmPuff, yes, there was nothing exciting about the action, and Donnie was meh. Glad we agree on this one. :)
