With its enormously gripping story, utterly compelling characters and top-notch direction by David O. Russell, "The Fighter" is undoubtedly one of this year's very best films, and also a serious Oscar contender.

The Owls of Ga'Hoole
(9.00/10)

Overall summary:
With its mindblowingly sumptuous graphics, enthralling and adventurous story, and extremely adorable characters, "Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole" ranks as one of the most imaginative animated features ever created, and it's certainly the most visually-stunning movie of 2010.

15. Aftershock (9.00/10)

Hallows: Part 1 (8.75/10)

Overall summary: Darkly compelling, beautifully-executed and visually-striking, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" is by far the best of all three David Yates installments, and my third favorite "Harry Potter" film, ranking right behind the fantastic "Prisoner of Azkaban" and the action-packed "Goblet of Fire".

Some of the best films of the year. Great list, buddy!
The one I haven't seen yet from this list is only Temple Grandin :)

Saw only four of these and looking forward for the next post.

Thanks, Jaccs! :) I know you're not a big fan of True Legend or Legend of the Guardians, but I thoroughly enjoyed both of these films and found them to be utterly underrated.

You should see Temple Grandin - you won't believe how good was Claire Danes in it! My favorite female performance of 2010, along with Natalie's.
And I'm telling you, if it wasn't a made-for-TV film, Danes could have been nominated for Oscar, and even win it. She was that good. She won an EMMY though ;)

Lesya, you should check out the rest then :) My top 10 is coming tomorrow ;)

These are some fantastic choices. I've not seen most of these, but I hope to, except 127 Hours. Not a big Franco fan, but I saw Aron on Dateline NBC and I was so grossed out. I really do believe I'd vomit if I saw this movie. I agree with you about Claire Danes, her performance was stunningly brilliant. She's one of my favorite actresses.

Looking forward to seeing your top 10. :)

Thanks, Mel. Glad you like the first part of my list ;)

Hey, put your reservations aside, and give "127 Hours" a chance. Franco is such a charmer, I really don't get why you don't like him :)

I had no idea you've seen Temple Grandin. She was sensational in it! Absolutely sensational!

Thanks, J-Son. Come back tomorrow for part 2 ;)

Most of those I've not seen, so will have to seek them out.
Sorry, just didn't care for Guardians - didn't resonate with me. And there's a reason I decided not to review the Harry Potter movie...
Otherwise, I'm sure your top ten will hold several favorites!

I know you didn't like Guardians, Alex, and that's okay.. many other people didn't. Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed the story, loved the characters, plus the visuals were the best I've seen in any animated flick.
I'm sure my top 10 will contain some of your favorites too ;) Drop by again tomorrow :)

Oh 127 hours how I love that film!! The Fighter was also a great one. Seeing Kick Ass on here has me hoping Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is coming up-love that film but then again how could I not with Edgar Wright directing. Anyways, great list so far!!

Thanks, Nicole. So glad you liked it. Both 127 Hours and The Fighter are great films. Kick-Ass.. well.. kicks ass, and Scott Pilgrim blew me away, though after I gave it a second shot I wasn't as impressed - it was still brilliant, but there was something missing.

You're welcome, Nicole ;) Though my nature is a bit naughty, I've always been kind with people I like and respect ;)
