Short review: Playing a woman who kills her abusive husband in self-defense, serves a sentence and then comes back to live isolated at home, under house arrest ,and under the watchful eye of a police officer, Janssen is the highlight of "100 Feet". She's not only eye-candy, but delivers an above average and quite believable performance, that drives the movie. Though Cannavale is decent as Marnie's dead husband's partner, he has very little work with and his screen time is too limited, and Ed Westwick has a small role as a friendly delivery boy, and he doesn't make much of a big impression. However, despite its intriguing premise, "100 Feet" suufers from weak script, uninspired direction, ridiculously cheesy ending and cheap CGIs. The special effects are not particularly special. In fact, they are so poor and laughably awful, it's unexcusable. The ghost itself looks like an badly-done hologram. The setting is rather effective - Gothic house in lower Manhattan is atmosheric and at times creepy, especially during night. Claustrophobic, but occasionally intense and only mildly entertaining, "100 Feet" is a ghost story that has potential, but it's poorly-executed and not as spooky as it think it is.
